Professional Fit![]()
None of our bodies' dimensions are the same. So in order to customize your bicycle to fit you appropriately we offer a Professional fit. on the day of your scheduled fitting, bring your bike and the apparel you will wear while riding. That includes shoes, shorts, and gloves because they will affect your dimensions. We will then start with a series of questions to get to know your style of radioing as well as the way your body has responded to its current conditions. Your flexibility will play a major role in your fit. We ask you to stand with your legs straight and touch the floor. We examine where your spine begins to arch in order for you to complete the motion. This is where you are going to be the most comfortable. Your reach from the seat to the hoods of the handlebars will also affect your riding position. We change the length of the stem in order to achieve the proper reach. Your seat post height will be determined by the bend in your leg at the power stroke. The power stroke is when the pedal is furthest from you. While keeping your foot parallel with the ground, at the power stroke you should maintain a 10 degree bend in your leg. The seat angle and position will also need some adjustment. Most seats will be positioned parallel with the ground. If the nose of the saddle is angled downwards you will put to much pressure on your hands. If the nose of your saddle is angled up it will apply to much pressure to the artery that runs where your seat hits. The position of the saddle is adjusted on the rails of the seat. We find the most beneficial seat placement by dropping a plume line from the tip of your knee cap, while your pedal stroke is at 3 and 9, to the ball of your foot which should be placed directly over the spindle of the pedal. These adjustments will hopefully get rid of any unnecessary aches and pains and provide you with proper placement for optimal power transfer.
